I have a teaching degree and worked within the Primary sector in Salford. I have a personal interest in Special Educational Needs and am frequently involved in discussions with the LEA on the role of SEND in schools.

Pete Molyneux, Vice Chair of Governors

Safeguarding Link Governor

My two daughters came to James Brindley in 2004 and are currently making their way in the world thanks in part to the excellent standard of teaching & support they received in their seven years at James Brindley. During this time I came to realise that a very good school doesn't happen by accident. So I firstly became heavily involved with the PTA fundraising side of the school and soon after joined the Governing Board as Parent Governor then Community Governor.

I've lived in this community since 1996. I hold it close to my heart. My professional background was 36 years in the Energy & Water sectors. I worked my way up to middle management running Call Centres, Billing Departments & Debt Collection Functions across a number of sites in the north-west. The last 10 years of my career was as a Project Manager bringing together Operations, IT, HR, Finance & Building Maintenance for new set-ups & relocations.

Beth Fielding-Lloyd

I have been a University lecturer for 15 years and am currently in a management role. I have a PhD in sociology and an adult teaching qualification.

Dan Evans

I’m a Chartered Environmental Scientist with a Master’s degree in Environmental Science. I have 15 years’ experience as a Projects Engineer specialising in brownfield regeneration across the UK. My reason to serve as a Parent Governor is twofold; that the children who attend James Brindley benefit from maintaining the School’s current high standards, and by return, the School remains accountable for the decisions that are made for the benefit of the children and the wider community.

Emma Nightingale

I am a parent of two boys and also hold a Management Position in the Banking Industry. I have a Finance background (Qualified Management Accountant) and over 10 years of people management experience. As a Governor at James Brindley I hope to use my business skills and knowledge combined with my passion for getting the best out of people to contribute to the vision of helping the children reach their full potential.

Matthew Gartland

Having been involved in Education professionally for over ten years, as a parent of two boys at the school, I am very keen to support the school however I can towards achieving its objectives over the short and long term.

Michelle Cobley

Having worked in HR for over 20 years, in both the Public and Private Sector, I currently hold a Senior HR Policy and People Relations role.

As a Parent Governor at James Brindley Community Primary School, I will work alongside fellow Governors, to support the School continue to be an outstanding setting for our children.

Helen Holt

I have a Bachelor of Education degree with specialism in Early Years;

I have always enjoyed being involved in the wider community of the school and was interested in the supporting role of the governing body.
