Welcome to Year 3
An enormous welcome back!! I hope that you enjoyed a wonderful summer holiday. I am really looking forward to hearing about all the incredible things that you got to do.
We have got an exciting half term filled with lots of fun things:
- In English, we will be writing our own stories based on the book 'The Tin Forest' by Helen Ward.
- In Maths, we will be learning all about place value in 3 digit numbers.
- In History, we will be learning all about The Stone Age.
- In Science, our topic is all about rocks.
- In Art, we will be creating gestural drawings using charcol.
- In Computing, we will be learning all about coding.

Key Information
P.E Days will be on a Tuesday and a Thursday. Please make sure that your child has their P.E kit in school on those days.
Earrings must not be worn for P.E. If your child is unable to take them out by themselves, please ensure that they are taken out before school on P.E days.
I am really looking forward to getting to know you over the coming weeks. I am sure that we will have lots of fun and learn lots!
